A ban on wheel clamping in WA will be one step closer with it the proposed laws being introduced to Parliament today.

The legislation was created in a response to a number of high profile cases where wheel clamps were improperly used or in a predatory manner.

Transport Minister Rita Saffioti told Gary Adshead on Mornings the legislation brings WA in line with the majority of the country.
