We need to fight for the right to repair

We’ve all broken a phone, had to get a car serviced or needed a gadget fixed and we all know the hassle of finding an authorised place to keep the warranty, but that may all change.

“We’re letting them be greedy and we really got to fight for this right to repair; it’s absolutely basic,” Christopher Zinn from Determined Consumer told 6PR Breakfast.

Mr Zinn reminded us that we have won the right when it comes to car servicing, but other companies need to catch up.

Our listeners told us their horror stories including Craig who said his watch had to be repaired by the manufacturer.
