Wayward Emu rescued

The Emu causing havok on the Kwinana Freeway on Monday has been successfully rescued from Emmanuel Catholic College in Success.

Two Emu’s escaped from a property in Banjup on Monday and while one was captured the other Emu caused havok for motorists on the Freeway. It then made its way to the School on Monday Night. Native Arc volunteers spent an incredible 12 hours yesterday trying to wrangle the Emu into a horse float.

Dean Huxley the Manager of Native Arc spoke to Gareth Parker about the rescue operation.
