Vale Shane Tuck

Former AFL footballer Shane Tuck has died.

He was selected in the 2000 Rookie Draft by Hawthorn, the club where his father Michael Tuck also played.

Shane Tuck spent three seasons at Hawthorn without playing league football before he was cut from their list at the end of the 2002.

He was later picked up by Richmond, where he played 173 games from 2004 – 2013, kicking 74 goals.

The Hawthorn football club issued a statement on behalf of the Tuck family saying the club is deeply saddened to inform the football community of the passing of Shane Tuck – at the age of 38.
