Upped Jobseeker payment should be permanent

WA Council of Social Service chief executive Louise Giolitto says the increased fortnightly JobSeeker payment is saving families from catapulting into poverty.

A report from The Australian Council of Social Service surveyed nearly 1000 people and found 75 per cent could now catch up on bills and 69 per cent were finding it easier to pay their rent, or were considering moving into safer or more appropriate accommodation.
