This Could Be The Last Chance For Live Export

A group of key stakeholders in the live export industry, such as farmers, truck drivers, vets and other industry people have come together as “The Sheep Collective”. After the findings in the Moss Review, they want to put animal welfare front and centre of their operations.

Today Oliver Peterson spoke to WA Nationals Agriculture Spokesperson Colin de Grussa about the industry and the effect the last 12 months has had on farmers.

“What I’ve seen is the big stick approach to say we’d be legislated out of existence.

“That’s not what is needed here. What is needed is a partnership with agriculture”
