The more Magpies the better

More sociable magpies are smarter than the maggies who just enjoy a quiet gathering according to the latest research from Perth.

Researchers tested the birds memories and associative learning abilities and found that magpies who congregate in larger groups are smarter than those who travel in smaller groups.

Dr Ben Ashton is a lead researcher at the University of WA and explained the study to Steve and Baz on 6PR Breakfast.
