The Monday Agenda – Zak Kirkup denies drug testing welfare recipients is “picking on them”

Today State Liberal Member for Dawesville and Shadow Minister for Health Zak Kirkup  joined Perth LIVE for the Monday Agenda. He spoke to Oly about the Voluntary Assisted Dying bill currently before Parliament, where he denied there was any filibustering going on.

Mr Kirkup also addressed the Federal Government’s plan to introduce drug testing for Newstart/Youth Allowance recipients with Mandurah being flagged as one of the test sites.

“This is something I do support so long as there’s adequate measures in place to help those support services that should exist locally for people that are found to be on drugs and need intervention.”

… and on a lighter note, Mr Kirkup backs the giant crab for Mandurah.
