Today Oliver Peterson spoke to Federal Education Minister Dan Tehan about his calls to simplify the school curriculum rather than worry about “soft skills” like teamwork.

“It’s ensuring our students are getting those basic numeracy and literacy skills that are the building blocks of everything you need for an education.

“There’s been too much of a focus on things like teamwork and critical thinking. These are important skills but they are important once you have the basics right.”
