A new pill developed in Australia could spell the end of colonoscopies, after showing promising signs in diagnosing and treating gut disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome.

Adelaide gastroenterologist Dan Worthley told Mornings with Gareth Parker, the pill detects gas levels internally, and can transmit readings for analysis.
