Sleepy Pollies making risky decisions

A sleep clinic will be strapping smart watches on 80 MPs and staffers to measure exactly how much our politicians actually sleep at night… not just in the chambers.

Our Country’s decision makers could be putting us all at risk due to lack of sleep so a new study is looking into the sleeping patterns of our Polllies.

“Tired people are hungry people and we know a lack of sleep pushes up appetite, it promotes weight gain, pushes up blood pressure, it pushes up glucose levels and that’s all bad for health, it’s also bad for mental health. And it effects daytime decision making capacities,” Dr Stuart Miller told 6PR Breakfast.
