Collingwood’s Steele Sidebottom has been suspended for four matches for breaching return-to-play protocols, a punishment the club says is excessive.

The AFL has suspended Sidebottom’s Magpies teammate Lynden Dunn for one game for his involvement.

The pair shared a vehicle, and Sidebottom later visited former teammate Daniel Wells.

Dunn was at training earlier today, having returning a negative test for the coronavirus.

Sidebottom is yet to be cleared to return.
