The mayor of Subiaco, Penny Taylor moved a motion urging WALGA to advocate that single houses require demolition approval.

Although the motion gathered notable support, it was defeated 95-127 during WALGA’s annual general meeting.

On Perth Tonight Belmont mayor Phil Marks spoke with Chris about the reasons he opposed the motion, which prompted mayor Taylor to call the program and re-iterate she intended the plan to be opt-in.
