Ryan injury won’t elevate JK

Josh Kennedy is still uncertain to line up for the Eagles, despite fellow forward Liam Ryan going down with an ankle injury.

Ryan injured his ankle after kicking a goal late in the Eagles win over Geelong at Optus Stadium on Sunday.
“I think he’s going to be out for a little bit. I only saw him briefly yesterday and he was kind of on crutches and in the boot and taking the pressure off that ankle, I think he did roll it pretty bad,” Kennedy told 6PR Breakfast about Ryan.
“The goals that he kicks, he’s just a live wire,” he added.

But the absence of Ryan doesn’t mean Kennedy will be boosted into the team early.
“I’m hoping that I get selected this week, my hand’s up, I’m ready to go. It’s purely up to Simmo [coach, Adam Simpson] and the fitness staff now,” Kennedy told Steve.

Steve also mentioned the rev up given by Simmo at the 3/4 time break, Andrew Gaff spoke about the team’s comeback with 6PR after the game.
