Regional jobs campaign hasn’t netted one Donnybrook grower a single worker…
Those in the state’s agriculture industry are calling for more to be done to get young people into the regions to take on work as fruit pickers with fears most of this year’s crop will be wasted.
The Work and Wander Out Yonder campaign has been running since earlier this month.
But owner of the Donnybrook Packing Company Russell Delroy told Gareth Parker on Mornings the scheme has so far failed to connect him to just one of the 25 employees he needs this season.
