The AFL is in talks with the Queensland Government to keep the season alive.

The Swans and the Giants could be set to join St Kilda, North Melbourne, Essendon, Western Bulldogs, Richmond and Carlton in the Sunshine State.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says she has spoken with AFL boss Gillon McLachlan about exactly what would be required.
