Proposed pyrolysis plant for Lancelin

A proposed tyre-burning plant on the doorstep of Lancelin’s conservation-zoned dunes has been labelled by worried locals as an attempt to turn the tourist town into the “Kwinana of the north”.

Wednesday is the final day the public can comment on the proposal to lease part of the town’s rubbish tip site to establish a pyrolysis plant that would produce power for the grid.
