Today the WA Police Union announced that it wants police to have the powers to track and remotely disable cars in situations like high speed pursuits and terrorist attacks.

Oliver Peterson spoke to Police Minister Michelle Roberts about her support for the idea.

“It’s about police officer safety but it’s also about the safety of the general public.

“It would enable [police] to stop a vehicle and hopefully prevent loss of life or injury…”
