Two women, who did not receive permission to travel to WA, have been arrested after escaping hotel quarantine.

Acting Police Commissioner Gary Dreibergs told Oliver Peterson arrivals assessed as “high risk” would be placed in one hotel to improve security measures.

Mr Dreibergs also said up to 500 people had arrived in WA without the correct documentation.
