Labor MP Tanya Plibersek is standing by her call for school students to be taught a citizenship pledge.

The pledge is used at citizenship ceremonies, and discusses loyalty to country and fellow citizens.

Ms Plibersek has come in for criticism over the weekend, but told Oliver Peterson there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the idea.
