One Nation call for stamp duty relief for retirees

WA One Nation will put forward a motion to the Upper House to call for stamp duty exemption for retirees. They believe this will help older West Aussies sell their family home and downsize.

One Nation WA Leader Colin Tincknell spoke to Oliver Peterson about how this could create more opportunities for home buyers.

“We haven’t said absolutely no stamp duty. We’ve said we will cap it at $17 500.

“There is no point putting up motions that have no chance of success.

“This is all about helping out retirees who are struggline but also creating more suitable homes for people who want family size properties.”
