‘No part of WA community or economy will be untouched by impact of this disease’

The Health Minister concedes WA needs to start preparing for ‘scary scenarios’ in relation to the coronavirus.

Australia recorded its first COVID-19 related death at the weekend, 78-year-old WA man James Kwan.

His wife remains in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, also diagnosed with the virus.

There are 28 confirmed cases nation-wide.

Health Minister Roger Cook says following discussions with health ministers and the Commonwealth on Friday – he’s satisfied they’ve got a handle on the current situation.
