New Heart Foundation Ad – shock tactics or heartless?

The Heart Foundation has come under fire for a confrontational ad which suggests people who don’t look after their heart health don’t care about their families.

Director of Prevention at The Heart Foundation Julianne Mitchell joined Oliver Peterson today to explain the ad is about encouraging people to get a heart health check by the GP.

“We know the ads are provocative and emotionally confronting.

“It is a challenge for us to cut through the noise and the business in people’s lives to learn the message that heart health is important.”
