“My head was going nuts.” – The young Eagle who went toe-to-toe with Gary Ablett.

The Eagles are off to a flying start in season 2018, winning two on the trot with an impressive win over the Cats in round three.

Four new players have already made their debuts this season, including exciting young forward Willie Rioli.

With high-flying teammate Liam Ryan going down with an ankle injury – Eagles fans can expect to see a bit of Willie Rioli in the team this season.

Taken at pick 54 in the 2016 draft from Glenelg, Rioli is finding his feet after his debut against the Bulldogs in round two.

He’s confident he’s overcome the hamstring issues which plagued him last season and is desperate to be a part of the teams’ “new era.”

6PR Sports reporter Jimmy Williams caught up with Willie at training this week. Listen to the full chat below.
