Mixing up your kids names? You’re not alone

If you mix up your kids’ names, going through the list of them and sometimes naming the family dog before getting the correct name for the correct child, you’re not the only one.

Research conducted in North Carolina shows it’s common and it can show a connection with the people you love.

Steve and Baz spoke with Fiona Kumfor, a research fellow at the University of Sydney for the Centre of Brain and Mind and she told the Breakfast show it has nothing to do with getting older or whether you are male of female, but how distracted or stressed you are.
“In these situations when you’re trying to do a lot of things at once your brain is almost trying to help you out and act more efficiently.”
