Mentor not a mate
Parents are failing to control their children because they’re worried about being hated by their kids.
Child Psychologist Michael Carr-Gregg says some parents are living in a state of fear and failing to set boundaries for their kids. He says many parents are worried about the image of their child throwing a tantrum in the shops and don’t feel supported enough to discipline their child.
Michael told Pete and Jane, ‘it’s important to remember you’re a mentor and not a mate.’
