Around 40 scientists are on a month long journey for the Sampling the Abyss Mission. Darren chats to one of the scientists aboard the expedition, Martin Gomon. Mr Gomon says the Abyss is an unknown world and they expect that half the wildlife they encounter will be new species or never seen in Australian waters.
