Space Invaders and Galactica or Dr Evil in Austin Powers and Darth Vader in Star Wars, no matter how you reference it, shooting space junk with lasers sounds like fun and an Aussie company has found a way to do it.

“We have a high powered laser.. the laser has energy or momentum, now we basically transfer that energy from the laser beam into the target and that will push or slow the target,” Professor Craig Smith, the CEO of EOS Space Systems, told 6PR Breakfast.
