Kennedy waiting to get on new ground

West Coast Eagles Coleman medalist Josh Kennedy is back on 6PR Breakfast for another footy season and he’s keen to get on the new ground at Optus Stadium.

A niggling Achilles injury has kept Kennedy off his new home ground so far, but he said Thursday he should have his first full training session there and he’s aiming for a Round 3 return to the game.

“[The Achilles was] causing a bit of grief last year but we got it all fixed up and been slowly building up back with that.
“So it’s been a long process but probably in the next two or three weeks I should be hopefully back home and playing,” Kennedy told Steve and Baz on 6PR Breakfast.
