Is it time for an electric vehicle subsidy?

The WA government should look at bringing in an electric vehicle subsidy to encourage more people to adopt the technology, says a WA energy expert.

Director of Amanda Energy Martin Jurat says electric cars are not only great for sustainability, but they also have the capacity to reduce stress on WA’s energy grid as people can use the power from their solar to charge their cars.

He told Oliver Peterson he’d like to see the government bring in the subsidy, much like they did for solar panels around a decade ago.
