Treasurer Ben Wyatt will not stand at next years election.

After 15 years in state politics and delivering three budgets Mr Wyatt is to step aside due to ‘personal family health issues’.

He says it’s been on his mind for a while.

Mr Wyatt has held the seat of Victoria Park since winning the 2006 by-election, he will continue in the role of Treasurer until the 2021 election.

Mr Wyatt reflected on his time in politics with Oliver Peterson.
