Exclusive: Gareth Parker reveals big Government payout looming over Children’s hospital

Gary Adshead

West Australian taxpayers are set to write a massive cheque to Chinese-owned builder John Holland to settle all on-going disputes associated with the shambolic Perth Children’s Hospital project, Gareth Parker has revealed on the 6PR Morning Program.

Gareth has reported that the McGowan Government made a $20 million offer to John Holland, which delivered the hospital over budget and two years late.

John Holland has rejected the offer as totally inadequate, and believes it could win between $120 million and $600 million if the matter proceeds to trial.

Listen to the details as revealed by Gareth today.

Treasurer Ben Wyatt spoke to reporters outside parliament after hearing Gareth’s report, expressing his frustration at John Holland.
