Drug expert explains performance enhancing capabilities of cannabis

The AFL has confirmed Willie Rioli has been notified of another adverse finding following an ASADA drug test on September 5.

The test was carried out after the Eagles beat Essendon in an elimination final where he has tested positive for cannabis. It was taken more than a fortnight after the test he’s accused of tampering with.

National Drug Research Institute’s Professor Steve Allsop told Jo McManus that cannabis can be a muscle relaxant among other things which can affect performance.
