Could China need Australia more than we need them?

China is becoming increasingly reliant on Australia for energy and mineral exports. Gareth asked CEO of Strategic Forum, Dr Ross Babbage, could China need us more than we need China? With Dr Babbage saying that China should be careful about preserving their relationship with Australia.

“We’re [Australia] selling so much LNG to China that it’s about half of their total imports and that is very difficult for them to replace.” Dr Babbage goes on to talk about how Australia’s LNG is powering a China’s coastal industry and coastal power generating capability and we’re becoming more valuable to China due to tensions in the U.S.
