Confusion over quarantine protocols in Perth

A Perth man has questioned whether adequate quarantine protocols are in place to deal with potential coronavirus cases – after getting his wife tested.

Gerry and his wife were recently in Bali – his wife opted to get tested for the virus after becoming unwell on her return home.

He told Gareth Parker on Mornings it took several phone calls and a wait in an isolated room at their GP before his wife was tested. He wasn’t tested despite living in the same house.

Gerry says it seemed to him that they were making it up as they went along.

Meanwhile, Australian Medical Association WA President Dr Andrew Miller says he’s been calling on the government to set up an online consultation system.
