Clive Palmer explains why he should be let in

Mining Magnate and leader of the United Australia Party Clive Palmer is going to launch a High Court challenge against WA’s hard border closure.

Mr Palmer applied to WA Police for an exemption this week to allow him to fly on his private jet from Queensland but it was rejected because he refused to inform the Police Commissioner of his planned movements.

He says the border closure breaches the Constitution and he plans to lodge the High Court documents on Monday.

Mr Palmer told Mark Gibson there isn’t a COVID-19 emergency in Australia.

“There’s no reason to keep people from their jobs or quarantine people within the state.

“It’s certainly against our Constitution and all governments should abide by the law.”
