The State Government is calling for a 10-year phase out of conventional cages for egg-laying hens.

“Birds for their quality of life need to have some opportunity to flap their wings, hop about…what we would be looking at is a minimum standard of furnished cages as they have in those other countries.” – Agriculture Minister Alannah MacTiernan spoke with Oly on Perth Live.
