Attack on junior umpire ‘unacceptable’
The West Australian Football Commission is urging coaches and players across community football to shake the umpires’ hands before each junior game this coming weekend, in response to a 13 year old umpire being attacked.
Police are investigating the incident at a Thornlie-Maddington Under 11s game, which had to be called-off when tensions boiled over among parents and supporters.
WAFC CEO Gavin Taylor told Mornings with Gareth Parker, the behaviour is unacceptable.
