Artania unlikely to leave Fremantle before the weekend

The Australian Border Force Commissioner says it’s unlikely the Artania cruise ship will leave Fremantle before the weekend confirming some remaining crew onboard are being tested for coronavirus.

The vessel has not yet left WA despite being ordered to do so – amid concerns for the health of crew still onboard.

12 crew are now being tested after beginning to display symptoms – they’re in self-isolation on the ship.

Commissioner Michael Outram told Gareth Parker they’ve also now separated around a dozen mission-critical staff – to ensure they remain healthy.
