Are interstate borders legal under the constitution?

Constitutional lawyers believe business owners suffering hardship due to border closures could have a case in the High Court.

New South Wales is leading the push to re-open interstate borders.

But WA, Queensland, South Australia, and Tasmania are vowing to keep their borders closed for potentially months.

University of Sydney’s Professor Anne Twomey told Gareth Parker on Mornings authorities can only keep their borders shut if it’s deemed to be reasonable.
