Are Centrelink wait times about to become shorter?

The Long Lunch

600 new jobs are being created in Perth’s new contract call centre for Centrelink.

The new workers are not replacing Centrelink’s existing staff and are receiving the same training as the agency’s regular workforce.

Human Services Minister Michael Keenan told Oliver Peterson the call centre offices in Perth will create 600 extra jobs for Western Australians which will help to provide a much better service.
