St John Ambulance medical director Paul Bailey says the issue of ambulance ramping has drastically worsened in WA.

Mr Bailey says the issue is three times worse than it was five years ago – when there were calls for it to be banned.

He also said at stages in recent months there were only two spare ambulances available for the metropolitan area due to ramping.
