Agriculture minister slams Coles and Aldi for $1/litre milk

Agriculture minister David Littleproud is urging shoppers to turn their backs on $1-a-litre milk, and retailers Coles and Aldi for continuing to sell the discounted milk.

Woolworths yesterday announced it was increasing the price of its homebrand milk by 10 cents a litre.

Mr Littleproud told Mornings with Gareth Parker, Coles and Aldi are ignoring the plight of dairy farmers across Australia.

WA Farmers Dairy Section President Michael Partridge then told Gareth what increasing the price of milk will mean for producers.
