Aged care watchdog introduced by Federal Government

Senior Australians and their families will soon be able to lodge complaints about aged care homes through a single independent watchdog.

Three regulators are being merged into the new Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, which aims to quickly investigate and prevent failures in the sector.

Ian Henschke from National Seniors Australia welcomes the changes saying they’ll offer some clarity to people accessing aged care.
