Adopt a healthcare worker

In all the coronavirus chaos West Aussies are proving to be a generous lot towards healthcare workers on the frontline.

Chris Nicholas started the Facebook group Adopt a Healthcare Worker for people to connect with a healthcare worker that needs help, or for workers to ask for help. He started it after talking to friends working in the industry about how hard it was for them.

Mr Nicholas says it’s up to the individuals to decide what help they need or can offer.

“It could be things like cooking meals, helping with cleaning, running errands or helping get some shopping done.”

Over 30,000 people have joined since the WA group started on Saturday and other state based groups are now starting up.
