ADHD prescriptions at highest level since 2004
The number of adults and children taking ADHD medication has soared to it’s highest level in over a decade.
In 2004 public concern drove the Health Department to begin monitoring prescriptions, which led to a dramatic drop in diagnosis of ADHD, a trend which seems to have reversed.
Martin Whitely, former Labor member for Bassendean and Research Associate at Curtin and Murdoch Universities spoke to Chris about the alarming increases.
