40% in aged care never get visitors

Up to 40 percent of people in aged care in Australia don’t get any visitors, 365 days of the year, according to Aged Care minister Ken Wyatt.

Advocare’s Dr Helen Grzyb joined Mornings with Gareth Parker to explore why.

Dr Grzyb also shared some contact details for groups which can help organise volunteering at aged care homes. People Who Care is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation which can be reached on 9379 1944.
