Players are grateful for the season: Acres

Article image for Players are grateful for the season: Acres

The Fremantle Dockers hold the Western Bulldogs’ destiny in their hands when they go head to head at Cairns on Sunday.

The Bulldogs currently sit just inside the top 8, but a win to the Dockers could push the Dogs down the list. Blake Acres says with seven wins under their belt, Freo just want to finish on a high note.

“I know that all the guys just want to finish the season off strongly and build that momentum into next season,” Acres told 6PR Breakfast.

It’s been an interrupted season to the AFL and also for Acres who missed out on games due to injury and form, but he is thankful there’s been a season and he’s been able to play.

“We do get to play footy and if we put a smile on some people’s faces for winning a game or two here or there and that’s the most we can do this year, then that’s it.
“Just been really grateful to be able to play footy.”
