Donald Trump is returning to television, with the US President announcing on Wednesday that he will host the Kennedy Centre honours this year.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 6PR Breakfast “performers will get a lot of backlash for accepting it with him as the host and overseeing it all”.

Trump says he’s been “about 98% involved” in choosing this year’s honorees.
