Perth Tonight Spotlight: Barry Cable

Former AFL player and three time Sandover medallist, Barry Cable (71), paved the way for many WA footballers.
Originally from the country town of Narrogin, Cable went on to play over 400 games for the VFL and WAFL before turning his hand at coaching with the three clubs he played for in North Melbourne, Perth and East Perth.
Cable has been awarded with many honours including being named a ‘legend’ in the Australian and WA Hall of Fame, was a member of the Order of British Empire, he was appointed as part of the Aboriginal Economic Development Council and has been involved in many charities.
